Hazy Mornings

I’ve got two weeks and a couple days until the Sweeney Todd auditions. Two weeks and a couple days and I’ve just only decided what I’m going to sing. The Impossible Dream from Man of La Mancha.

It’s really the perfect song and I love the lyrics. I’m excited to audition with it… But now I’ve got some work to do. I need to find the sheet music somehow and then I need to learn the song! Lyrics will be easy since those can be found online, but in order to sing it correctly I’ll need the sheet music (also, for the audition, ill need the sheet music for the accompanist).

Oh well. C’est la vie.

Audition(s)

I’ve got an audition on Friday and I’m beginning to get that feeling that I’m not going to do well. It’s just nerves and I know I’ll do my best, but is it bad that there is an audition in April that I’m already nervous for?

It’s for a show that I’ve wanted to be in since I discovered its existence: Sweeney Todd. I will finally have a chance to audition to be in one of my favorite shows of all time.

The audition information came out today and after reading it I felt a bit nervous. I’m auditioning for the part of Anthony and I’m already nervous. The audition, like I said before, is in APRIL! I’ve got two auditions before that and I’m not nearly as nervous for those.

I’m really looking forward to it all though too. It’s going to be an interesting year. Im not gonna let the nerves get the best of me.
